Meet the Owner
My name is Scottie Waldrep, owner of Alabama Rideshare Rentals. I started this business to provide qualified Uber/Lyft drivers, DoorDash, Spark, Instacart, Uber Eats, Amazon Flex, Grubhub, and other approved delivery platforms drivers with access to a reliable vehicle through simple, long-term weekly rental options.
I understand that many responsible drivers are ready to work but may not have the right vehicle available. My goal is to make the rental process clear, professional, and dependable by offering straightforward terms, proper screening, written agreements, and honest communication from the beginning.
Need a Vehicle to Drive Uber/Lyft drivers, DoorDash, Spark, Instacart, Uber Eats, Amazon Flex, Grubhub, and other approved delivery platforms? ONLY $350 a week for our Cars and $400 for SUV rental.
Affordable Weekly Rentals Without the Big Upfront Costs
We understand that not everyone has thousands of dollars available for large down payments, deposits, hidden fees, or high upfront rental costs charged by other companies. At Alabama Rideshare Rentals, we keep the process simple and affordable.
Instead of charging expensive startup fees, we only require your first week’s rent up front to get started. No large deposit. No complicated payment structure. No unnecessary fees just to get behind the wheel.
Limited availability. Approval required.
We are everyday people who believe in helping hardworking people. Alabama Rideshare Rentals was built to give drivers a fair, affordable way to get on the road and start earning.
Getting started is simple. To apply for a rental vehicle, complete the driver application and send the following documents:
A copy of your valid driver’s license send to my phone 256-640-7103. Text me any time.
Proof that you are approved to work with a delivery platform
A screenshot from the app or platform showing your active driver account or employment/approval status
Once your application and documents are received, Alabama Rideshare Rentals will review your information and get back with you quickly. If you are approved and a vehicle is available, we will move forward with the rental agreement, vehicle inspection, and pickup process.

Approved Platform(s)
This Rideshare Vehicle Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Alabama Rideshare Rentals ("Owner" or "Lessor") and the undersigned approved renter/driver ("Renter" or "Driver"). Owner and Renter may be referred to individually as a "Party" and together as the "Parties." The purpose of this Agreement is to establish the terms for Renter to rent the vehicle identified above for approved long-term weekly rideshare use.
1. Driver Qualification and Approval
Renter must be approved by Owner before taking possession of the vehicle. Approval is not guaranteed and may be revoked if any information provided by Renter is false, incomplete, misleading, or changes during the rental period.
· Renter must provide a valid driver's license and remain legally licensed during the full rental term.
· Renter must be at least 18 years old unless Owner approves otherwise in writing.
· Renter must provide proof of current approval, active application status, or other approved transportation platform status if requested.
· Renter must provide current residence address, phone number, email address, and emergency contact information.
· Renter must have an acceptable driving history, no disqualifying suspensions, and no material undisclosed violations.
· Renter agrees that only the approved Renter may operate the vehicle. No spouse, friend, relative, substitute driver, or passenger may drive unless approved in writing by Owner and insurance permits it.
2. Rental Term, Weekly Rate, and Payment
This Agreement is intended for long-term Monthly rental use. One Month minimum. The rental begins on the Rental Start Date listed above and continues week-to-week until terminated under this Agreement.
· The weekly rental rate for the vehicle is $350.00 per week unless changed by written agreement.
· No down payment is required at the start of the rental unless stated in writing. This does not waive the weekly payment requirement, late fees, damage liability, deductibles, or other amounts owed under this Agreement.
· Weekly rental payment is due in advance before each rental week begins. For example, if the rental week runs: Monday 8:00AM to Sunday 8:00PM, then payment should be due Sunday by Sunday 6:00PM or Monday before shift for that week starts. The vehicle may not be used during any unpaid rental period.
· Accepted payment methods: cash, electronic payment, money order, Venmo preferably or other method approved by Owner.
· Payments are applied first to late fees, tolls, tickets, reimbursements, deductibles, cleaning, damage, recovery costs, and then to weekly rental charges unless Owner states otherwise.
· Renter may not withhold payment because of a platform issue, low earnings, deactivation, personal hardship, account hold, slow business, or disagreement unless Owner agrees in writing.
3. Permitted Use
The vehicle may be used only for lawful, approved, responsible transportation use within the scope allowed by Owner, the insurance policy, and the rideshare platform rules.
· Permitted use may include approved Uber and Lyft rideshare driving, provided Renter is active and in good standing with the platform and the use is allowed by insurance.
· Other use, including delivery apps, courier work, long-distance travel, out-of-state use, or personal use, must be approved by Owner in writing before use.
· Renter is solely responsible for complying with all, airport, local, state, and federal rules related to rideshare operation.
· Owner does not employ Renter, does not control Renter's schedule, does not guarantee income, and does not guarantee approval or continued access to any rideshare platform.
4. Prohibited Use
· No use by any unauthorized driver.
· No racing, reckless driving, towing, off-road driving, hauling hazardous materials, illegal activity, transporting weapons unlawfully, or use while impaired by alcohol, drugs, fatigue, or medication.
· No subleasing, loaning, pledging, selling, transferring, hiding, disabling, or abandoning the vehicle.
· No smoking, vaping, illegal drugs, or open alcohol containers inside the vehicle.
· No pets unless Owner gives written approval.
· No rideshare or transportation use if Renter is not properly approved, active, licensed, insured as required, or legally permitted to operate.
· No travel outside the approved operating area without written permission from Owner.
· No tampering with GPS, dash camera, tracking device, odometer, diagnostic device, insurance documents, license plate, registration, or vehicle equipment.
· No repairs, modifications, decals, wraps, aftermarket equipment, tinting, mechanical changes, or part replacement without written approval from Owner.
5. Insurance
Owner intends to maintain insurance coverage for the vehicle as stated in the summary above. Coverage is subject to the actual policy terms, exclusions, deductibles, driver approval rules, and insurance carrier requirements. Renter must cooperate fully with all insurance requirements.
· Insurance is included by Owner only to the extent the applicable policy provides coverage for the vehicle, approved driver, and approved use.
· Renter must not represent, assume, or tell any platform, passenger, officer, or third party that coverage exists beyond what the policy provides.
· Renter is responsible for any deductible, uncovered damage, excluded loss, denied claim, chargeback, premium increase caused by misconduct, or claim arising from prohibited use, false information, unauthorized driver, policy violation, intoxication, hit-and-run, criminal conduct, or failure to report an incident.
· Renter must immediately notify Owner of any accident, damage, claim, tow, impound, citation, police stop, platform safety report, insurance notice, or passenger complaint involving the vehicle.
· Renter must provide accurate information to law enforcement, Owner, insurer, and platform representatives. Renter must not admit fault, settle claims, conceal damage, or make statements on Owner's behalf without approval.
· If insurance coverage is cancelled, restricted, denied, or no longer available for this rental model, Owner may immediately suspend or terminate the rental and require return of the vehicle.
6. Maintenance and Repairs
Owner is responsible for ordinary scheduled maintenance as long as Renter follows this Agreement and promptly reports maintenance needs. Renter is responsible for negligent, abusive, unauthorized, or preventable damage.
· Owner will handle approved routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, basic inspections, and ordinary wear items at Owner's selected shop unless otherwise agreed.
· Renter must check warning lights, tire condition, engine temperature, fluid leaks, abnormal noises, braking issues, and other safety concerns before and during use.
· Renter must immediately stop driving and notify Owner if the vehicle overheats, has oil pressure warnings, transmission issues, severe vibration, brake issues, flat tire, warning lights, or unsafe conditions.
· Renter may not authorize repairs over $50.00 without Owner's prior written approval unless emergency safety circumstances require immediate action and Owner cannot be reached.
· Renter is responsible for damage caused by ignoring warning lights, driving on a flat tire, overheating, low oil, improper fuel, collision, abuse, curb impacts, pothole damage, neglect, or unauthorized repair.
· Renter must keep the vehicle reasonably clean and return it with all equipment, documents, keys, devices, chargers, and accessories present.
7. Fuel, Tolls, Tickets, Fees, and Operating Costs
· Renter is responsible for fuel and must use the correct fuel type recommended for the vehicle.
· Renter is responsible for all tolls, tickets, parking violations, red-light tickets, camera tickets, citations, airport fees, rideshare-related fees, impound fees, towing charges, and administrative charges incurred during the rental period.
· Renter must notify Owner within 24 hours of receiving any ticket, toll notice, impound notice, tow notice, platform warning, or government notice related to the vehicle.
· Any unpaid tolls, tickets, fees, or fines may be charged to Renter along with reasonable administrative/recovery costs.
8. GPS, Dash Camera, Monitoring, and Privacy Notice
Renter acknowledges that the vehicle may be equipped with GPS tracking, dash camera, telematics, diagnostic monitoring, and/or other security devices for vehicle protection, safety, theft recovery, maintenance, mileage, location verification, and rental compliance.
· Renter consents to the use of GPS and vehicle monitoring during the rental period.
· Renter may not tamper with, unplug, cover, disable, remove, alter, block, or interfere with any tracking, dash camera, or monitoring equipment.
· Disabling or tampering with monitoring equipment is a material breach and may result in immediate termination, vehicle recovery, fees, and potential legal action.
· Owner may use location information to confirm vehicle safety, recover the vehicle, respond to emergencies, investigate nonpayment, enforce the rental agreement, or comply with law enforcement or insurance requirements.
9. Pickup Inspection, Return Inspection, and Vehicle Condition
Before vehicle release, the Parties should complete a written and photo/video inspection documenting mileage, fuel level, tire condition, interior, exterior, windshield, lights, accessories, existing damage, and cleanliness. Renter accepts the vehicle in the condition documented at pickup.
· Renter must return the vehicle in substantially the same condition, ordinary wear excepted.
· Renter is responsible for new damage, missing equipment, excessive wear, smoke odor, pet odor, stains, trash, cleaning, lost keys, damage not documented at pickup, or damage caused during the rental period.
· Renter agrees that Owner's inspection photos, GPS data, maintenance records, repair estimates, and third-party invoices may be used to determine charges owed.
· Renter may request a joint return inspection, but failure to appear for inspection does not prevent Owner from documenting and charging for damage.
10. Accident, Breakdown, or Emergency Procedure
· Check for injuries and call 911 when needed.
· Move to a safe location if possible and lawful.
· Call law enforcement and obtain a police report for any collision, injury, hit-and-run, theft, vandalism, passenger incident, or significant damage.
· Notify Owner immediately by phone/text and provide location, photos, police report number, other driver information, insurance information, passenger information if applicable, and platform trip details if applicable.
· Do not leave the scene unlawfully, admit fault, accept cash settlement, abandon the vehicle, or continue driving if unsafe.
· If the vehicle is towed or impounded, Renter must immediately provide the tow company name, location, phone number, and reason for tow/impound.
11. Late Payment, Default, and Vehicle Recovery
Timely weekly payment is essential. Failure to pay, loss of contact, unauthorized use, insurance concern, GPS tampering, unsafe operation, or violation of this Agreement may be considered a default.
· If weekly payment is late, Owner may suspend use privileges, demand immediate payment, require return of the vehicle, disable future rental access if legally available, and begin recovery efforts.
· Payment due: Every Sunday by 6:00PM for the upcoming rental week. Grace Period: Unti Monday at 6:00PM. Late fee of $25 paid at the end of grace period if after 6:00PM.
· 72 Hours late: Vehicle must be returned immediately and may be recovered under the agreement.
· Late fee: $_25__ per day after the due date, or the maximum lawful amount, in addition to the weekly rental.
· If Renter fails to return the vehicle after demand, Owner may report the vehicle as overdue, pursue civil remedies, contact law enforcement when appropriate, and use GPS or lawful recovery methods.
· Renter is responsible for reasonable costs of recovery, towing, storage, locksmith, repossession, legal notices, court costs, attorney fees where allowed, administrative costs, and lost rental time caused by default.
· Renter must keep active communication with Owner. Failure to respond to Owner within 12 hours during an active default or safety concern may be treated as refusal to cooperate.
12. Termination and Return of Vehicle
· Either Party may terminate this week-to-week rental by giving written notice. Owner may require immediate return for default, safety, insurance, maintenance, legal, or business reasons.
· Upon termination, Renter must return the vehicle, keys, documents, and equipment to the location designated by Owner by the deadline provided.
· Renter must not abandon the vehicle, leave it unsecured, leave it at an airport, tow yard, hotel, repair shop, impound lot, or third-party location without written permission.
· Rent continues to accrue until the vehicle, keys, and equipment are actually returned to Owner or recovered by Owner, unless Owner agrees otherwise in writing.
13. Indemnification and Responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Owner from claims, losses, damages, fines, penalties, attorney fees, deductibles, expenses, and liabilities arising out of Renter's possession, operation, misuse, prohibited use, false information, negligence, intentional conduct, unauthorized driver, platform violation, or breach of this Agreement, except to the extent caused solely by Owner's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
14. No Employment Relationship
Renter is not an employee, contractor, agent, partner, representative, or franchisee of Owner. Owner does not provide job placement, dispatch, passenger assignments, rideshare account access, wages, income, tax withholding, workers' compensation, unemployment benefits, or earnings guarantees. Renter is solely responsible for taxes, platform compliance, work decisions, and income reporting.
15. Taxes, Platform Accounts, and Compliance
· Renter is responsible for all taxes and reporting related to Renter's earnings or business activity.
· Renter must maintain any required rideshare platform accounts, inspections, background checks, airport permits, app approvals, vehicle documents, and compliance items required by Uber, Lyft, or other approved platforms.
· Renter must notify Owner immediately if deactivated, suspended, rejected, restricted, or removed from a platform during the rental term.
16. Representations by Renter
By signing, Renter represents that all information provided in the rental application and this Agreement is true and complete. Renter confirms there are no undisclosed license suspensions, DUI-related restrictions, ignition interlock requirements, unpaid judgments, disqualifying insurance issues, severe driving violations, or other facts that would affect approval, insurance, or safe operation unless disclosed in writing to Owner.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Venue
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Unless otherwise required by law, any dispute related to this Agreement, the vehicle, payments, recovery, or damages shall be brought in the appropriate court in ___Marshall __ County, Alabama. The prevailing Party may seek court costs and attorney fees where allowed by law or this Agreement.
18. Entire Agreement and Written Changes
This Agreement, any attached checklist, rental application, inspection sheet, payment schedule, and written addenda make up the entire agreement between the Parties. No verbal promise, text message, social media message, advertisement, or informal statement changes this Agreement unless clearly agreed to in writing by both Parties. If any part is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
19. Notices
Official notices may be delivered by text message, email, certified mail, hand delivery, or other written method to the contact information provided by the Parties. Renter must keep current phone, email, and address information on file with Owner during the rental term.
